Integrative Counselling with Individual Clients, Group Counselling, School Counselling, Yoga and Mindfulness for Children, Play & Creative Therapy, Anxiety Specialist
Individual & Group Counselling
In my practice I offer individual counselling sessions (50 minute sessions). Sessions can be purchased in block. All sessions will begin with an intake with parents/caregivers for under 18s. I also offer group counselling for groups of 3 - 8 clients based on central themes. Group counselling is particularly effective for sharing and normalising experience with peers.
School Counselling
Through my work in Seattle Public Schools I can bring an understanding of academic pressures and breadth of caseload to my private practice, and depth of work to my school counselling. Through my private practice I also offer Counselling services for local schools seeking a visiting Counsellor to provide part-time and ad hoc services.
Yoga & Mindfulness
As a trained Yoga & Mindfulness teacher for children I bring mindfulness, breath, and calm to my counselling practice through individual work and group yoga and mindfulness instruction. In times of stress and anxiety yoga and mindfulness can bring a powerful balance to a child's day.
Play & Creative Therapy
Play & Creative Therapy can be a powerful approach when working with my younger clients to allow children to connect and communicate using their own language of play. I may use play therapy techniques alongside other therapeutic approaches to adapt to the child and their needs.
My Approach
I approach my counseling with a belief that all young people have the potential to make positive change for themselves and for the world around them. I adapt my therapeutic approach to the client but often utilize strength-based counseling and cognitive behavioral therapy techniques to create an environment that supports and encourages personal growth.
My office is colorful and fun, full of games, books, toys, movement and mindfulness opportunities. The combination of talk therapy discussion and practicing techniques and skills with creative approaches and outdoor space can encourage confidence and social/emotional growth.
I work in partnership with parents, families and all caregivers to ensure comprehensive and ongoing support for the client beyond the time spent in my office.
I work with all areas of concern and my specialties include trauma, life transitions, family conflict, divorce and separation, bereavement, grief and loss, anxiety and depression, friendship, peer relationships and social isolation, gender and identity, self-confidence and self-esteem, growth mindset, school issues, anger management, and neurodiversity.

What To Expect
Our first session is a gentle introduction, led by you. There’s no expectation or pressure—just space to arrive, begin to feel comfortable, and slowly build trust as we get to know each other. Whether meeting in person or online the counselling will go at your pace, aligned with your goals and aspirations for what you want to get out of counselling. Sessions normally continue on a weekly basis and last for an agreed time based on your needs and personal progress.
With perseverance, kindness, and patience I create an environment where clients can feel safe to learn, explore and grow intellectually and emotionally. You can expect a counselling relationship that provides an unconditional support to help you learn, grow in confidence, confront challenges, and explore choices that move you forward to achieve your goals.
My passion is to work with children, teens, and young adults to help them manage the stresses and strains of their home, school, university, or work lives, with the goal of making each day a little easier. I follow your lead and our work can be colourful and fun if you like, full of games, books, and music. Sometimes we walk and talk and get outside. Sessions can be the pause and the breath of fresh air you need.
